Social security for artists
People working in the cultural sector with highly variable incomes, part-time or temporary jobs, self-employed or employed, often ask themselves the question “Am I adequately covered in my situation and which pension model would be best for me?”.
Co-hosted by Danse Suisse and Angela Pickard, our first two seminars took place in the German and French speaking parts of Switzerland with over 70 participants in attendance. The next edition of LET`S TEACH DANCE will take place in Lugano on October 26th, 2024.
Danse Suisse offers dancers and choreographers an exclusive opportunity to set up a profile on the new „LET'S CONNECT DANCE!“ platform. With the virtual kleio business card, dance professionals can present their activities and personal projects.
In Switzerland, dance is finally being considered as a holistic intervention for various health challenges. Experiences from the Connect Project in Zurich have been very encouraging. An upcoming training weekend with exciting input from David Leventhal and Clare Guss-West, including a meeting of interested professionals and institutions, will shed more light on the surrounding issues.
An offer for the exchange, network and an opportunity for further education for all people working in or interested in artistic community dance.
The first graduating class of the EFZ apprenticeship for Stage Dancers specializing in Musicals successfully started their final year of training.
