The annual financial statements and annual report were approved by the members present, the board was discharged, and the previous board members standing for re-election and the president were confirmed in their positions. One of the highlights of the general meeting was the election of two new board members with significant experience in contemporary dance and finance. The election of Gabriel Obergfell and Aldo Magno to the board was warmly welcomed. On the one hand, it marks a first step toward a broader and more representative perspective in the field of dance; on the other hand, it ensures that Danse Suisse's finances will continue to be managed professionally.
A particularly moving moment was the farewell to Jean-Marc Heim, who is stepping down from the board after 20 years. His commitment to the association and to improving conditions for professional dance artists was acknowledged in detail and warmly thanked. It was also announced at the meeting that Michaela Bosshard, a long-standing employee of Danse Suisse known for her competence and artistic sensibility, will be leaving Danse Suisse in the summer. She has been appointed managing director of the Ballet Academy of the University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich. Her appointment will hopefully strengthen cross-border exchange in dance education.
