Danse Suisse

In Switzerland, Danse Suisse is committed to dance as an art form and specially to dance as a profession. The recognition of the profession and good (working) conditions are high on the list of priorities.

As a professional association, Danse Suisse represents the interests of professional dancers, choreographers, dance educators, dance mediators, as well as those who perform management tasks in professional stage dance or are involved in administrative and organizational work in all matters of training and further education, professional recognition, professional practice, retraining and social security.

Danse Suisse is the professional organization for the 2009 created professional education as a stage dancer with a Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (BühnentänzerIn EFZ). Danse Suisse is committed at various levels to good dance training and promotes young artists in this art form through its own measures.

To this end, the professional association seeks collaboration with all relevant public authorities, associations in other artistic fields, with the umbrella organizations Suisseculture and Suisseculture sociale, with private institutions and other dance-related organizations such as the Réseau danse suisse - Reso.
