Tanzfaktor is a biannual project organized by Reso - Rete Danza Svizzera, that aims to encourage and support young companies dedicated to contemporary dance. It offers them the opportunity to present their productions to a wide audience and to network with industry professionals from throughout Switzerland. A jury of tour organizers select 5 companies who are then provided the means for a national tour within the theaters and festivals associated with Reso.

This year Tanzfaktor is held alongside a panel discussion entitled “Stories that we perform / own / steal... ”. During the festival, Reso is organizing a roundtable discussion together with LAC (Lugano Art and Culture), which will address the topic of cultural and spatial appropriation. The discussion will be held in English with the following participants: Pol Esteve Castelló, architect and researcher from Barcelona, Rhodnie Désier, choreographer from Montréal, Chloé Le Nôtre, director of the Auditorium de Seynod in Annecy, Cathy Levy, consultant and curator of the Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival in Massachusetts and Ivy Monteiro, choreographer and performer.
