With the new program, "Springboard Dance", Danse Suisse is pooling offers for aspiring professional dancers who have completed their dance training and are at the beginning of their professional careers. The aim is to help close a crucial gap in the careers of talented young dancers.

Danse Suisse has been committed to the continuous promotion of dance talent for years and wishes to enable young dancers to come a step closer to their career aspirations. The new Springboard Dance platform continues this commitment by helping young dancers close the gap between completing dance training and stepping fully into the professional world.

Four exciting projects are already underway in Switzerland:



MARCHEPIED Cie (Lausanne)

Duration: 6 months

Ages: 21- 26 years (with completed dance training)

Audition: September 12 - 14, 2024


MARCHEPIED Cie (Lausanne) is a Swiss project that offers young contemporary dancers and dance graduates six months of professional start-up support. It offers a paid space for artistic development and professional visibility through choreographic projects and performances on national and international stages. The program includes open spaces, masterclasses and workshops with renowned choreographers as well as a 20-day tour in Switzerland and abroad to facilitate the professional integration of participants.



Le Ballet Junior de Genève (Geneva)

Duration: 2 - 3 years

Age: 17 - 23 years

Audition: annually in Spring


Le Ballet Junior de Genève is a contemporary dance training program for dancers between ages of 17 and 23, which aims to develop the artistic identity of young dancers who wish to pursue a professional career.

The duration of the program is two years with an optional third year.

In addition to technical courses, the students will have direct contact with working choreographers and dance artists. Each season offers performance opportunities organized in Switzerland and abroad. The work done on both a technical and personal level allows dancers to develop their own artistic identity and prepares them to respond optimally to the ever-changing demands of the professional world.



swiss offspring ballet (Canton of Zurich)

Duration: 1 year

Age: 18 - 23 years

Audition: March 2nd/April 20th 2024, private auditions on request


swiss offspring ballet (s.o.b.) is a junior company and further training program for young dancers. s.o.b. supports young dancers through intensive training and participation in various choreographic works. Participants will gain valuable stage and performance experience with organized tours throughout Switzerland. The aim is to increase the chances of starting a career and to offer a professional working environment similar to that of established companies. The team consists of artistic director Franz Brodmann, ballet master Anna Simondi, and president Andrea König.



Tanz und Kunst Königsfelden: Summer Academy (Canton Aargau)

Duration: 5 weeks in summer

Audition: Registration through training school *Selection process 2024 already underway*


The first edition of the Summer Academy "Mind the Gap" is aimed at students from professional dance schools in the final phase of their training. Over the course of five weeks, participants learn three different choreographic styles from renowned choreographers Marco Goecke, Maša Kolar and Filipe Portugal. In addition to intensive training and rehearsals, nutritional advice and workshops are also offered. The academy ends with three performances in August 2024 and the awarding of a dance prize.
