GROOVE’N’MOVE FESTIVAL 2026
4–15 March 2026. The 16th edition of the Groove’N’Move Festival presents 30 artistic projects over 12 days, taking place at 17 venues in 7 municipalities across Geneva.
In 2026, Groove’N’Move anchors urban dance within several theatre venues in Geneva, establishing the city as an international reference point for urban dance.
The programme highlights the festival’s role as a meeting place between national and international artists, as well as between urban cultures and audiences. Featured artists include Mounia Nassangar, an internationally renowned figure in Whacking—literally “to strike with force”—an expressive dance form and cry against oppression created in the 1970s by queer Black and Latinx communities on the US West Coast. Also appearing are Amala Dianor, Jolie Ngemi, Hervé Koubi, and many other exceptional dancers distinguished by their virtuosity and sensitivity.
