Highly pertinent issues such as sustainability, fair practices, international solidarity, and minority representation in the performing arts were discussed. The following, increasingly relevant questions were also addressed;

How do we want to work? Wiith whom?

More and more cultural professionals feel the need to stand up for a common cause, pool resources and assert their influence.

The event brought together dance professionals, students and various representatives of the performing arts, as well as political and cultural decision-makers. The day began with a panel discussion by GROUP50:50, a German-Congolese-Swiss collective, which presented an excerpt from a collaborative process and highlighted the challenges that arose. The social anthropologist, professor and anti-racist activist Rohit Jain presented a reflection on the transformative processes between research, art, cultural politics and activism. A platform mapping the various Swiss initiatives and forms of activism in the field of sustainability was presented by Vert le futur, the association for sustainable culture and events industry. In the afternoon, various workshops were held on topics such as networking and knowledge transfer, alliances, sustainability, inclusion such as ableism in communication, creative conflict resolution, ethics and more. The program was rich and the discussions very stimulating. We hope that some of the suggestions for improvement can be transferred to other professionals in the sector, and that trends will develop into exemplary habits.
